This facsimile of an original by Michel Pignolet de Montéclair is part of our French Classical Music from 1650 to 1800 collection.
Sheet music score: Ancient and modern Brunettes suitable for the flute with an accompanying bass of Michel Pignolet de Montéclair.
Preface by Anne Pichard : la musique de Michel Pignolet de Montéclair, les Brunettes.
This sheet music score is of major interest to all musicians interested in the French classical period. The Brunettes generally take French prosody into account and instrumentalists may draw inspiration from them. The ornamentation is noted with precision. The elegant engraving allows comfortable reading.
In concert it could be very tempting to follow a vocal performance with an instrumental version, particularly where the composer has provided a double.

He is the author of the majority of our prefaces and has also been involved in library searches.
